What an amazing wedding on St. Patrick’s Day!

Congrats to Patty and Kenny!

The reception is a big part of the wedding day. Once all the formal stuff is over, it’s time for everyone to have fun and hang out together. There is a lot of time and attention put into making the reception hall look fabulous. This is where  many personal touches are made. The favors, centerpieces, cake, decorations…..this is the place that people go to and know  it’s your wedding just by looking around. The thing is, as the bride and groom, you may not get to see everything because you come into the reception later than everyone else. The hors d’oeuvres are half gone, the table settings have been moved around, so you will need these detail pictures to remember how everything looked before the party started. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to get into the reception hall before anyone else can get in there, and that’s when we can get the untouched shots. Otherwise, we certainly take care to get the details of your reception as neatly as possible. We know how much time and effort you put into your wedding, and we want to capture it all!!

This was an awesome session! It’s great when your clients bring in something special to them, in this case it was Nathan’s guitar. It adds a personalized flair to your portraits, and give us photographers a little bit more creative freedom, which we love!

When it comes to the ceremony, couples are so overcome with emotion, they may miss all of the details they have coordinated with the church. I bet the bride isn’t looking at the flowers on the end of all the pews while she is walking down the aisle! She is concentrating on her father and her soon-to-be husband. So we take it upon ourselves to make sure that we capture everything! We want to make sure all of your memories are preserved!

All of the details of your wedding are extremely important to you. You spend so much time flipping through bridal magazines and searching online to find the little things that make your wedding so unique. The flowers, the jewelry, the shoes, the programs, the favors, all of these things say something about you and who you are. It’s so important for us as photographers to realize how much everything means to you, and to capture it in such a way that you will remember not just the “stuff”, but all of the effort you put into choosing it. Did you and your bridesmaids go to every flower shop in town to choose the bouquets that best compliment you? Did you make your husband-to-be sit on the couch and go through magazine after magazine until you found inspiration for your table decorations? The planning of the wedding is emotional (and sometimes nerve-wracking) and needs to be remembered as much as the day itself.
